PP bleeding? TMI & embarassing...

I am 8 days PP and my bleeding turned brown within the last few days.  My concern is that there has been an odor recently and I dont know if it is just old stuff sitting up there and coming out finally, a result of the blood on the pad or if I need to see the OB for a possible infection.  I change my pad and use the peri bottle every time I go to the bathroom.

Was your PP bleeding completely odorless? Embarrassed

    I had a UTI and some odor going on. I would call!
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    No, it definitely had a scent with both kids. It definitely wasn't a fresh scent either!

    bleeding always smells funny to me, especially when the flow slows. 

    and the smell from the bleeding/lochia was the WORST!

    I remember a smell, but it wasn't sour or foul at all. Just a blood/pad/moist combo thing. If it smells bad at all, I would call. Hang in there! PP body stuff is such a pain!!!

    Lochia definitely has a distict odor. I hated it. I was paranoid everyone else could smell it too, but they couldn't. At least, I think they couldn't....

    Phew!  Thanks ladies.  I dont remember this from DS but it is making me really self-conscious this time.  Hopefully it wont last much longer!
