What are your thoughts on this name? Old-timey name, pronounced "Ester." I've always liked it, but would people still be familiar enough with it to know how to spell it/say it, with the silent H?

Re: Esther?
I totally think people will know how to say it-I wouldn't worry about that.
Personally I think the name is out dated and does sounds old...but then again, that's just my opinion!
I love Esther!
I can't imagine people NOT knowing how to pronounce and spell this name.
It's not an awful name and I think people would be able to pronounce it.
However, whenever I hear it I can't get the image of Aunt Esther from Sanford and Son out of my head.
My name is Esther , no one ever has a hard time to pronounce it and there are very very few ways to make fun of it. I very often hear" Oh, i love your name, my aunts/grandmothers.. name is Esther"
I love my name because i am always the only Esther, so i never get mixed up like Jennifer A or Jennifer B...
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!

Sorry but I really don't like it at all.

I think she called herself Madge.
I love old lady names...but not Esther. It just sounds way dated to me....about 50- 100 years dated.
But no one will have an issue with the pronunciation.
