Success after IF

Recommend your baby's favorite toys

We are going toy shopping today. He is bored with all his toys and I need a few more so I can get a rotation going. I hand him a toy and he looks at me like "mom, that was so five minutes ago". :)

Re: Recommend your baby's favorite toys

  • he loves this book, and I can't get enough of scout's sweet little voice

    his skwish

he's got a wooden block/shape sorter from target that he adores...he likes to take the blocks out of the box and then put them back in.

    he also loves his snail

  • Both of my kids love Leapfrog's Potsy.  They also liked their activity table (we also had the Leapfrog one), the busy bee bop band (which I think is now called the parumpumpum band or something, you can find it at Target with the Parents magazine toys), busy ball popper, and the Laugh and Learn home.  Some of the toys they did not pay much attention to when they were your son's age but loved them the older that they got.  Good luck!
It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.

  • DS really likes stacking cups and the stacking rings.  Obviously he doesn't stack them yet, but he loves holding one in each hand and clapping them together.  He also likes the Baby Einstein tag a long little hand held thing that they can push and it lights up and plays music, got ours at Target for around 7.00.  For Christmas he got a learning table that he likes.  Basically anything that he can make noise with like little trucks, he'll just bang them on stuff.  He's also got blocks that he'll clap together.

Edited - Definitely the Swkish, I didn't know what it was called, but he loves that!

Also, just a set of those links.  I'll link some together and on toys and it's a whole new toy all of a sudden for him, plus it keeps the toys in the carseat or highchair, etc.

  • Now that DD is pulling to stand we got her a play table, it's the fisher price stand that has toys on top, she loves it. The top also comes off it's legs so they can just play on the floor. From BRU a toy gumball machine you push a handle and a ball rolls out and then she plays with the balls too. Toy cell phones, old remote controls (we took the batteries out) and have them in a remote holder box she loves it. Peek a boo books, although she is eating them more then playing with them now.

    Have fun shopping!

  • He was sitting well by 6 months, so he really enjoyed toys that he could play with while using his new found perspective on the world like nesting cups, the FP Brilliant Basics Baby's first blocks, toy remotes and phones.

  • At that age, DS's favorite toy was his Leapfrog Learn and Groove music table.  He LOVED it and played with it all the time.  I think it helped him learn to stand because he REALLY wanted to be able to stand up and see what was on top of the table to play with it!  Also, lots of books.. anything with pictures.

Ours love this table too.  It's the first thing they pulled up on and they're always playing with it.  These are big too:
