help I have stink

I was using charlies soap on all our clothes but DH hated it so I orderd rockin green.  Our clothes smell much better but now the diapers stink when DS pees what could be wrong (I have washed them four times in the new soap)

Perhaps too much or too little soap is being used.

I use Arm & Hammer Essentials Free and I have never had a problem with stink.  Use can buy it the grocery store and it doesn't scent your clothing because there are no perfumes.   Was it the smell of Charlie's that your DH complained about?

I was happy with the Charlies (used it for 17 months) but it leaves the clothes with no smell but some of DH still smelled bad (didn't matter how much how little it doesn't remove oil/grease)  The rockin green does seem to remove the bad stuff from DH and it smells like lavender (so he likes it)

If it smells AFTER the pee hits it, that's a detergent build up problem. Might be that you are using too much or that you aren't rinsing well enough. Try cutting the amount of detergent down in the next wash and see if that solves your problem. If not it might be that your routine rinsed fine with charlie's but isn't rinsing well enough with RnG and you might need to add water or another rinse or etc.

Eco Sprouts, hands down, has taken all of the stink from my diapers.

Try letting them soak in the rng overnight. I don't know if you have pockets or covers or what but maybe try a hot soak without the covers so the inserts then try warm for the covers so the pul doesn't get ruined.

since you just recently switched the RnG could still be stripping out the old detergent buildup, which can cause your diapers to stink.

I though Charlies rinsed clean maybe not.  I do a cold rinse a 30 min soak then a long wash in hot then a warm rinse and a cold rinse.  I have a mix of pockets, AIO AI2 and fitteds the fitteds don't stink the the AIO and AI2 are horrible the pockets are a little smelly.  I will try the overnight soak tommorrow night with the rocking green to see if it helps.
