New Hampshire Babies

New to Manchester

Hi Everyone,

I moved here from CA and out there they had "open gyms" a place where u can bring your toddler and let the run around for an hour or two to get some energy out and what not. I have been searching for awhile now and cant find anything like that here. I know of one on Hookset rd next to tinkers and showgun...but they closed...does anyone know of another place that does this in and around Manchester?

Thanks so much <3

Re: New to Manchester

  • I know that the YMCA and Gold's gym both offer daycare, I think you have to pay a small fee, but those are the only two I know about. Good luck!

I haven't actually been here, but I remember reading about it in the paper a few months ago. Looks like it might be fun for kids.

  • thank you both so much....I will check into these :)
  • MyGym offers "open gym" time, but you may need to buy a membership.  NiniBambini in Bedford has "open play" a few afternoons a week.  I believe it is $5 for non-members.  They also offer great classes. We go there frequently and my 18m. old loves it!

  • Some other local indoor play places are Bobo's in Nashua, Kaleidoscope in Manchester (mills area) - my daughter's only 9 months but friends have recommended both these places!   And we love Nini Bambini

  • Also, Discovery Stop in Londonderry is one I've heard of.  Most malls have kid play structures (Mall of NH, Pheasant Lane).

And here's a blog of more local spots!

  • Nuthin But Good Times in Merrimack is now open.  Depending on the age of your toddler you may want to check this out.

There is also this place in Nashua

For the summer, check out a park in Derry that has a splashpad.  I copied and pasted the info below.

Derry's Splashpad at Don Ball ParkWhere: Don Ball Park, 14 Humphrey RoadHours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (weather permitting) daily; concession hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission

Info: Call park at 432-6078 during concession hours only

Hooksett public library has "children" time.  Pretty social for mom and kids.  They also have a Hooksett MOMs club.  Open to moms Manchester, as I understand it, b/c Manch does not have a MOMs club of their own.  They do play dates and get togethers all year long at peoples houses and out around the town.

    GOOD LUCK!
