Hello, girls.
I really need some good advice what to do. Because I jast for 6 month in US and I don"t know how everything work here. Situation like this. I have fallen and injured a knee and can"t move propertly now. I went to my PCP and ask him to send me to some one ortopedic doctor. I am waiting for this arround 2 month. Is it normal situation or not?
Re: if I am not happy with my PCP???
No, it's not normal to wait for a referral for 2 months.
Depending on your insurance, you may be able to contact an orthopedic surgeon directly for an appt. Is there someone you can ask to go over your insurance information with you?
If so, I'd call that a swing and a miss. Unless there's a realllly well-hidden joke in there that I'm missing.
Trial run?
I only think that because some sentences are very clear English and then its all broken up. I don't know, I have bad AE radar but I'm just thinking.
If you go to a hospital ER they can not turn you away.
ER = Emergency room
Or find an Urgent Care
go first thing in the morning. or have so take a day off
The closest Emergency room near Brigham and Womens Hospital is at
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
330 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA
According to google maps
ok, I understood about Urgent Care.
But if I want visit gynecologist for regular control why I should wait 3 month???
And she knows what an AE is but not ER
i like that you like it
but now i know
You can go before that to confirm you are, they just don't do an ultrasound before that.
I am sorry this is all to weird. Most of the time I suck at the whole AE thing, but I am betting your an AE. I too was caught off guard when she knew what an PCP was but not an ER.
If your not an AE and are truly hurting go to the hospital. The more I read your post the more I think your fishing for an "America's healthcare system sucks" debate, but I am tired and could be wrong.
I would think that if she was canadian and throwing around eh and aboot but she is hispanic. I doubt she wants to debate Hondura's or Nicaragua's health care versus the US.
of course, you are wrong. I am just 6 month in America. I don"t have any one relatives or friend here. NOBADY, just me,my baby and husbant. That"s why I don"t have any one who can advice me something. I seriosly insured my knee and already 8 weeks I can"t see ortopedic doctor, because he has free day only in March, 2. My PCP didn" explain me about AE or ER. Such kind of health sistem I starting to understand only NOW!!! Before I didn"t had any problem wth health and I couldn"t imagine everything soooo hard here.
In my country (Ukraine, Russia, Turkey) everything easier. I can see that doctor that I need maximum 2 weeks later after I have set appi. I don"t need to go to PCP and than wait 2 month for meet with doctor. When I was pregnant I went to doctor on 4 week of my pregnancy and he made check out. I know what means GOOD healt system, it means you can get help when you need it. Here you don"t get help, here you just spend time and money to meet with doctor.
Can't bold on google chrome....But you said
My PCP didn" explain me about AE or ER...
You are trying to make it seem like you think AE is in reference to something medical but earlier when I brought it up you said "I am a real person"???? Hmmmmm
no,I am not hispanic... even if I would be... so???
About Honduras and Nicaragua... I don"t think that people in Honduras or Nicaragua paying 120 dollars per week for health insurance, same like me. I was sure if I pay such money I am able to see doctor when I need it.
