s/o cats roaming free

I've never heard of anyone having an issue with this until TB.  Everywhere I have lived it's been the norm.  Well, except in my apartment dwelling years.

My neighbors on both sides have cats.  We have 2 cats.  One of the neighbors feeds ours b/c they like to.  He goes over there every morning for breakfast.

Unless the cat is a bully I don't really see the problem.

Re: s/o cats roaming free

  • I said as long as they are spayed/neutered and chipped and let me add vaccinated and you bring them in at night then I don't see the problem for letting them get a little sunshine. My cat only stayed in my yard or my neighbors and always came when I called it. Well except when we moved here to this new house....I had just had DD  and we were in a new house with wild animals around. She got out at night and I never saw her again. I called multiple times a day too.

  • -Not everyone is so appreciate of cats.

-What if your cat bit someone?

-I don't want to have to feel guilty if your cat crossed my dog's runner and became a victim.

-Cats get hit by cars all the time around here, why get them if you are willing to put them at risk?

I would never want my kids playing outside in our yard if cats ran wild in my neighborhood.
