Re: thinking of you, epphd!
Because we're fancy like that.
Thank you! I am "working" from home today - going in for a meeting at 4 but that's it. Hopefully we get good news before that.
I am incredibly lucky to have a BFF who is a pediatrician who has done a genetics fellowship, is doing a second, cardiology fellowship, who happens to be 38 weeks pregnant and married to a genetic counselor. So she has been such a good source of info. Her take is that the 2.5 mm NT is not worrisome wrt chromosomal issues, but could be of potential, limited concern wrt to cardiac troubles. But it's still in the normal range and she thinks may just warrant a fetal echo at some point. She said she's not worried at all. Of course, I am!
Thanks for your good wishes - I'll update as soon as I can!
I am a runner, knitter, scientist, DE-IVF veteran, and stage III colon cancer survivor.
Aw, it's so nice to have educated friends when you need them! I'm so thankful that she's not worried, *and* that she was able to tell you what to be on the lookout for down the road, hopefully only precautionarily.
Hang in there, my friend!
