He just got a raise!!! $75/wk! He has worked for the same company as a Controls Engineer since he graduated college 12 years ago this spring. The economy crashing hit his company hard. They stopped 401k matching, froze salaries, eliminated jobs through attrition, eliminated christmas bonuses, even eliminated the door prizes at the annual company family picnic. He has not been given a raise in over 3 years. He busts his a@@ for that company, travels all over the country and the world, and makes them a lot of money. They just recently started back up doing their 10% match on the 401k. DH has been asking for a raise for about a year, since I have been unemployed almost 2 years, and money's been tight.

I am so proud of him for working so hard. I am so excited that his company is finally showing him some appreciation for all his hard work and dedication. and it could not have come at a better time, since my UE benefits literally run out next week. Whew! This is going to help a LOT!!!
