Someone called me fat!

Last year I lost close to 50 lbs.  So I've been really worried that in the beginning of the baby bump phase people would just assume I dropped the diet and got fat again.  Sure enough....   A close co worker came to me and said that M, another co worker told her that I am getting fat again.  I so badly want to waltz into work one day with a shirt that says "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant!"

What is it any of her business?!

I think it is even worse that someone TOLD you that they heard that!  Why would they tell you that?  JUST to make you feel bad?

What a jerk. If I could I would so punch her in the throat for you. Your right, it is none of her business, either way what a rude fricken lady. Im sorry that you had to deal with that today.

You're nicer than I am! I would wear a shirt that said, "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant, and you're a b*tch! " I would wear a cardigan over it all day until we were alone together, then I'd show her my new shirt and say, "What do you think?"

Wow. People are SO RUDE and inconsiderate.  How on earth did she think it would help you in life to know a co-worker called you fat? How did she think that conversation would end positively?

If she was truly a friend and was upset a co-worker was talking about you, there are she could confront the coworker instead of you about her gossiping.

If it makes you feel better, I'll tell you a quick story of a lovely former coworker. Back before I was pregnant, I had put on a few pounds since my wedding.  I used to have my wedding picture at my desk. Well, some old crazy man in our office who I rarely talked to on a social level comes up to me one day.. and out of nowhere says "wow, youve really gained some weight since your wedding huh?"  WTF?!!? I really don't think he was meaning to insult me.. but.. what the heck was he thinking?!

Anyways, what goes around comes around.  People like that are generally miserable in their own lives anyways.

I vote for a throat punch as well.  What a douche bag to say something like that and even your "close coworker" should be beat for telling a sensitive pregnant woman that someone said nasty words like that.  It isn't anyone's business at all, but don't let me spoil the joy of your adorable growing bump.

It ISN'T any of their business!! I wouldn't even say a word to her... Then she'll know she got under her skin... I'd ignore, her then when she discovers you are PG she'll feel like an idiot IF she can count...

I'm not going to say anything.  I get too much of a giggle out of this all.  I have joked about never telling her, and waiting to see just how big I get, and how much *** she talks before she realizes.  HAHA!

I know the feeling!! When I was "coming out" to different co-workers, one of them said to me, 'Yeah, I know. You've been looking pretty pudgy." How I restrained myself from the throat punch--who knows. I mean seriously, what happened to congratulations!
