When did your child say their first word? My daughter babbles and says what sounds like Dada, Mama, hey, etc but I kinda know that SHE might not know what those words mean especially at 9months..I guess this is a vent because i'm SO sick of parents going totally overboard and acting like their kid is having full conversations..lol sorry I've been on facebook too long today and that seems to be everyone's status!

about two weeks ago, riley was saying "dada" when dh got home from work. but apparently that got old to her because she stopped. she is nowhere near saying mama or actual words, really. unless we count "hey" and "hi" but i don't think that's what she's really saying, lol.

I agree my DD says Dada way more than Mama but even then I'm like is she really saying it? haha it's so hard to tell with baby babble! Does hey count? lol or today I swear she said Cinderelly{we were watching the movie} BUT then I probably was just being a crazy parent...:)

lol, we "hear" things like that all the time! i haven't really counted anything yet though, other than "dada" since it was actually to him. maybe we're under-estimating them though!
