I know, I know. THere's a Book Club for this. Yada, yada.
Also: SPOILER ALERT!
I read it and I loved it but the first few chapters were excrutiatingly painful.
I figured out the culprit, but it took me until M came to visit Blom. at the cabin and persuade him to go back to the Millennium by holding his position on the board over his head. I was actually disappointed in myself for not picking it up quicker.
I'm reading "..Played WIth Fire" now. So far it's starting off way better than the first one.
I want to watch the movies, but I'm going to read all three books first.
Re: Just finished "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo": Discuss?
Eh, don't be disappointed, I didn't figure it out at all...I had a different crazy theory that didn't pan out at all. I did think that Harriet was alive, but that's just bc I'm an optimist
The first chapters were really hard to get into, thank God it got so much better from there...
The first 60 pages were torture and so not necessary. I started the second one the other night, but may trade out for another book b/c I do an online book club and they just released the book for the next meeting.....
If you're talking about the Swedish made movies I've heard they are VERY difficult to watch. They're shooting the american made ones now and they will be tamer from what I understand. I don't know if I could see the film version of this book...it's... a lot.
I'm weird...that stuff doesn't bother me. I mean, it bothers me, but I'm able to mentally separate it as fiction and remember that (even though stuff does happen to poor unfortunate women) the story I'm watching isn't true.
Nah, I get that. I think it's weird that I basically have no problem reading about it...but watching it is different for me.
Honestly I used to have a higher tolerance for stuff until I had the girls. Effin hormones.
I have read all three. I loved Played with Fire because you learn so much more about Lisbeth.
I highly recommend them but the third one has a section that you are going to want to go away as well.
