So we are trying to plan a trip for November while I have teachers convention at work...
We originally were going to go to Disney with DD shes young but loves Mickey Mouse... It was going to cost us about 2000 with the tickets - hotel and airfare
But I just found a deal for a cruise where we dont have to fly... for about 2300
I talked to DH about it and he said we should still do disney and wait to do cruise when DD is older...
Here are his cons
Cruise
DD cants go into any pools bc she isnt potty trained
We have to bring a car seat
lugging around baby stuff on and off of cruise ship
what if DD is sea sick
I may be prego what if I get sea sick
I dont know I think its just my love of cruises shading my judgment
We went on one for 3 years straight and then I got pregnant so this summer will be 2 years i havent been on one... I love cruising.., What do you all think?
Re: Cruise or Disney?
Honestly I would wait until she is a little older, and do a Disney Cruise. We are considering taking one next summer, and they have onboard babysitting!

We took DS to Disney in December and had a great time. Yes he wont remember but we will and he enjoyed himself. He had fun on the rides, did fine with the long days (napped in stroller or ergo) and really liked Mickey.
We are taking him on a cruise in October and honestly the cons you listed havent really come to my mind as a issue. What cruise line??? We are doing Royal Caribbean and they have a baby splash pool on their newer boats so we can take him in there. Why would you have to bring a car seat?? Im assuming if you dont need airfare you are driving to port and you could leave in car? The boat crew gets your stuff on and off so you shouldnt have too much to lug on with you just getting it to the porters, I know RC has PNP's that you can request and other then that we are just bringing luggage.
As far as sea sickness... from lots that I have read in the past its a lot of mind over matter ... kids normally dont have issues because they dont think about it. PG might be different but I would think if you are a regular cruiser and use to it that you would be fine. I am hoping to be PG too and I am not to worried about it. One thing if you are planning on being PG I would suggest travel insurance.. it didnt cost us much and if anything is to happen we are covered.
