Anatomy Scan too early??

i just scheduled my anatomy scan for next week - i will be 17 weeks.  They told me it is fine, but i'm worried it's too early.  If they can't see everything, will they just make me come back?

 I am super excited that I get to find out the sex though!!

I don't know.  We have our next u/s at 18 weeks and the OB said we should be able to peek between the legs.

It should be fine. We are going to have ours at 17w4d.

When we had our big u/s with DD, her legs were shut tight so they let us come back 2 weeks later to confirm she was a girl.

I talked my OB into an u/s at 16 weeks because I haven't had one yet.  He said I would definitely go back between 18-20 because it will be too soon to do a full anatomy scan.  He said not everything they look for will be formed by 16w.  So I am guessing there is a reason they say 18-20 weeks for the BIG one.  I'm sure if they can't see something they will ask you to come back.

 

I'm so jealous you are 3 weeks ahead of me!!! Have fun!

We're going on 2/28, which would make me 17w5d.  But, they were measuring 4 and 5 days ahead at our NT scan, so if that's the case, they'd be 18w3d and 18w4d. 

We know our conception date because we did IVF -- it really isn't debatable...  So the babies are measuring slightly ahead of where we are based on "due date." 

Good Luck!  I hope you're able to see the baby's sex!  We're hoping to find out the same on 2/28!!
