Starting Femara

Looks like this month is a bust. I got a BFN today (CD29). I talked to my doctors nurse and my doctor is recommending the metformin plus femara for 5 days. I'll go in for a baseline u/s once AF starts and then go back on CD14. The nurse was checking with my doc about taking Provera (she normally prescribes prometrium but I already had Provera on hand from an old cycle and it is cheaper for me).

 Any good/bad stories on your experiences with Femara?

    I took femara for LPD and it helped my progesterone reach appropriate levels. The only s/e I had was hot flashes at night.

    Hope the addition of femara to your cycle does the trick. GL!

    Femara was horrible for me - worse than 375 ius of Purgone!  I had hotflashes, nightsweats, EXTREME moodiness.  But it's different for everyone.  Lots of girls have success with few side effects.  Good luck

    HOnestly I have no complaints about Femara.  It is awesome.  I responded much better with Femara than Clomid and without side effects. GL!

    I think Femara is great!  I respond much better on Femara than I did on Clomid.  I didn't have any s/e and my lining was great!  Clomid can really thin out your lining.  I also have better size follicles on Femara than I did on Clomid.  Good luck!

    I took Femara for my first IUI and I liked it better tham Clomid. I didn't have any s/e from Femara, but had tons from Clomid.

    I'm pretty late here, but I just started my 3rd cycle with Femara. ?We only did 1 Clomid cycle and it made my lining SO poor. ?I really think that for IUI#1 my lining was thin b/c of the Clomid - the 2nd IUI it was a little better, then for this 3rd one my lining was perfect. ?I'm hoping It's perfect again.

    I have really no s/e with the Femara. ?I had hot flashes like no other on Clomid!
