DH bought me an awesome new lens for my camera, and playing around with it is a complete joy.
My son has been particularly non-whiny the past few days, he is FINALLY over the mega cold since New Years. He also slept better last night than he did in months.
We picked out a birthday gift for Liam (the Little Tikes Picnic and Playhouse, so cute).
I'll be baking a cake later tonight, which always puts me in a good mood.
The sun is shining, and the weather is warming up, and one of my bushes is in full bloom.
I'm bringing said camera to my playdate today, and I can't wait to take pics of all the babies.
and...
I puked this morning when I woke up, and still no AF, woohoo~ I'll probably test on Friday, when I stop procrastinating and go to the store

Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have a stomach bug, LOL.
Any one else feel like posting why they're in a good mood today?
Re: I'm in such a good mood today, so AW :p
Sounds like an amazing day! Thanks for spreading some of the sunshine to the bump!
(I longed for spring when I read one of your bushes is in bloom...our snow is just starting to melt and we have a good 8 weeks until our trees/bushes bloom.)
Enjoy your day!
Woooo- all of that is awesome (even the puking
)!
I am just glad Sarah is finally feeling better!!
You need to post pictures that you've taken with your new lense!
I'm in a good mood because I've been boycotting the elevator and taking the stairs. I feel less lazy.
That's wonderful! I'm trying to make a point of walking for an hour every day with Liam, trying to shake off the winter blah's.
I have a few pics with the new lens in my blog below, it really is so much fun!
Oh my goodness, I have been thinking about your lateness ever since you first posted. I can't wait until you test!
And I'm so glad Liam feels better.
We really need to have a play date soon, I bet Liam has gotten so big since I last saw him!
Thanks, you too! Spring will come soon enough
Same here! She is so freaking adorable, I was happy to read that she is on the mend
I am such a major procrastinator, lol. I won't have time to go shopping today, and tomorrow I am meeting a girlfriend to work on gumpaste/fondant sculpting, so alas it must be Friday. I think part of it is I am afraid of the 1st tri in general (I went through a m/c before Liam), so putting this off in my mind makes it a bit shorter.
Absolutely! Let's hope the weather keeps up, when I get back from (the week in hell itself) my trip to NY to visit the grandparents, we'll try and set a date
Holy flipping cuteness. I love the picture with him in the red starred bloomer, staring up at the camera. [I then went on to stalk your other pictures] You take really great photographs!
I'm looking forawrd to a shorter commute next week - DS is switching DC & it will save me 40 min each way!! I'm also going to start training for a half marathon DH & I are running in may.Thank you so much! I think I am seeing some improvement if I look back over the weeks I've been doing this blog, and it's nice to hear compliments sometimes
Wow, i can't imagine helping create my wedding cake, that is great! My friend and I joke because we were rejected from the fondant class, since I didn't take the previous courses, and had no time to if I wanted to make Liam's birthday cake, so Youtube is teaching us
And YAY to a shorter commute, plus a half marathon! The last time I really ran was in college, but it killed my knees, so now I bike. The fact that your DH is doing it with you must be a good motivator
I'm following you now
Great pics btw...I just got my DSLR at Christmas. I'm slowly learning.
I wish I could do that, but the security people yell at us for using the stairs. It's for emergencies only.
OP - Are we hoping to see a BFP?
I want a new lens. Which one did you get? Did you do a tutorial with your camera?
Thanks! I got mine for Christmas as well, and used the kit lens till Valentine's Day. The whole reason I am doing this blog is to keep me accountable with taking pictures of Liam (and various other things/people) and really, I think I've improved and it hasn't even been fifty days yet. You learn a LOT by simply doing!
I am hoping for a BFP (my ticker rolled over below, lol, we've been trying for about a month) - my AF has been completely wonky though, I got it twice in a month a few times, so I am a bit worried how that will affect TTC.
DH bought me Nikon's AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G. I am going to try taking a few shots this week to practice bokeh with it, possibly on the flowers outside. It's definitely a different feel, not being able to adjust focal length (I think this is called a prime lens?), but even on my old lens I mostly kept it at 18mm anyway, so I could have a nice open aperture (of 3.5, lol). Being able to shoot at 1.4 is a dream though, and I'm really curious to see how it will work out at this playdate today, since there isn't a ton of natural light unless I lure the kiddos to the door, where they will proceed to bang on the glass, lol.
I'm slowly learning and I don't think I put enough effort into it. We bouth the canon Rebel last year and I have taken some okay photos with it.
I remember someone sent me a handbook from the photography board and I didn't have a chance to work with it. Now I feel like I should really go through it. It's like a day by day thing. I just don't remember where I saved it or if I did. I have to go back and ask. I heard a lot of the ladies moved to an off board and I'm afraid no one will know what I'm talking about.
Have you tried the 2peas course? For the rest of the weeks just change the url to the right number.
I LOVE the sunshine. It makes me start to daydream about our trip to Myrtle beach this June.
Preston is starting to feel better.
Harrison is fighting his nap something awful and will probably skip it today. UGH! BUT, that means earlier bedtime.
