$579.94!!
That is my current cloth diaper total for one year!! I think I have a problem. I feel like this is a TON of money. This amount includes accessories as well as dipes (doublers, snappis, wool wash, pail liners...etc).
I just did a comparison of what I would have spent if I used disposables and it was around $900 for the year...so I'm feeling a little better already.
Re: Cloth Diaper Purchases Total...(ouch)
Don't feel bad. I've spent more.
I think I have spent pretty similar to that but I am not keeping a running tab (on purpose!) It is hard to see a large number like that! I am trying to sell some that I didn't like. I didn't really choose to use cloth diapers to save money anyway. It was more because I believed it would be better for DD's health and the environment.
Hopefully I can reuse a lot of them with future children and actually save money!
This. You could have done a lot worse and you're already saving money over disposables.
I've spent more as well. But, I've recently destashed about 6 diapers and the difference from what I spent on them and sold them for was $34 - I think I made out okay:)
I love that cloth dipes have resale value:) It makes it fun, and makes me feel less guilty about buying more....***cough - GM - cough, cough**
This! And my LO isn't even here yet.
