chapped/split lip on a baby?

I just noticed earlier today that Adina has a slight crack/split lip.  Her lips don't normally seem dry but I guess the cold/and heat inside has finally gotten to her lips too.  Is there anything I can do for her?  I don't think it's really bothering her, so the best thing may be to do nothing but I can't imagine it would be too comfy either (actually I get them a lot, I know for a fact it isn't)  It already seems a little better, so I probably won't do anything unless it gets worse but I'd like to know if there was something I could do if it reopens/gets worse.

Any words of wisdom or advice?  I'm so over winter at this point haha.

    Maybe Lansinoh?  Since its okay on nipples I assume its okay on baby's mouth.  Might help.

    Bordeaux (the people who make butt paste) makes a product called Baby Kisses, I've been using it on DS chapped cheeks and it moisturized them pretty much overnight. HTH

    Thanks ladies!  The lansinoh/lanolin is a great idea.  It's safe to have on your nipples when they bf so I'd think to put it on her lip would be ok.  And I still have some around, so I'm glad it won't go to waste!  And I will look into that product by Bordeaux, thank you so much!

    DS had a little split on his lip a few months back. I put aquaphor ointment on it and it healed really quickly

    Maya has a split lip, too (I get them as well).  Vaseline is working really well.

    When LO had this problem, I just squirted some breast milk on her lips. The split lip healed pretty fast.

    Thanks for all the advice :) I put some of the lansinoh on it tonight before bed.  It's a plus that I don't have to go out and buy it since I already have it on hand :)

     And isn't breast milk amazing?  I've heard of it helping so many things.  Ear infections, eye problems, cuts, etc.  I wish I still had some because I'm sure that would help!
