My period - will I get them regularly?

I decided to go back on birth control & started the Nuvaring when dd was 5 months old. After 2 weeks there was a dramatic drop in my milk supply so I quit taking it. I now have my first pp period. I'm wondering if it will come regularly now or because I'm still bf'ing if it will be sporatic or (hopefully!) non-existant until I quit nursing.

Well for me... I got my pp period when my LO was 5 months old. I was and still am EBF (even throughout the night) and It has been reg. ever since. Same exact way it was before I got pg.

of course it's different for everyone.  My first PP period was Jan 1st!  Happy new year to me!  Pre-pregnancy my cycle was 31 days.  So far my first cycle was 25 days so we'll see if my next period is at (or around) the 25 day mark.

Wait, you went on Nuvaring when you were still BFing? The only hormonal BC you can be on will BFing is the mini-pill. Everything else kills supply and can possibly be secreted in bm. What the hell doctor put you on Nuvaring while BFing?!

Agreed. My OBGYN and I discussed nuvaring for after I've weaned. He even wrote me a scrip to keep in my purse til then. 

If you told your doctor that you were BFing and he/she wrote you a nuvaring scrip and told you to use it now, then he/she knows sh*t about breastfeeding and that should scare you.

That being said - after I got my pp AF with G at about 9 months pp, I got it between 35-40 days every month thereafter until I got pregnant again with E.

My cycle used to be right about 28 days.  I've had one pp so far and that was about 36 days ago.  I'm assuming it will take a couple of months to regulate since I am also BF.
