S/O Tricare and IF, waiting period?

I will be enrolling when DH commissions and then moving shortly after. I have secondary IF and PCOS requiring Metformin. I've had 2 mc/s, a preemie and a c/p so I will need to see a high risk Dr or a specialist.

Do they require a waiting period before they'd cover the costs?

My understanding is that once you are "in" with Tricare, they don't have waiting periods or worries about pre-existing conditions.

I didn't have a waiting period, when I saw my PCM, I asked her for a referral to an RE, she asked why, and I was given it. I already had the IF diagnosis, but I never had to show them anything.

I didn't have to wait for a certain amount of time. I asked my PCM for a referral and got the approval back from Tricare about a week and a half later. I did have to specify when we PCSed to Ft. Bragg that I wanted to see an RE. The only waiting I really did was waiting for my initial appointment. There's only one RE in the area and his waiting list was so long. Good luck!

My PCM asked to see my PCOS records before he would write a referral, eventhough I ended up not needing it due to weight loss.

I did not have to wait mine was primary due to PCOS all I did was show them my charts for the 3 cycles I had charted from May-Oct and saw no ovulation or anything so sent me right to GYN. This time I went to GYN right away and then was sent to RE from the GYN.
