Where are you getting your bedding from??

Are you getting your bedding from a store (ie BRU, Target, etc), or having someone custom make it??  I've been looking at both, but also considering having my mom try to make it if I can find some fabric that I like.  Where are you all looking?

  • We got ours for DS at BRU and are planning to reuse it.  I didn't know anyone that was good at making things like that at the time.  Now, however, I have a friend that is awesome and I'd love for her to make something!  But, we decided to reuse what we have and save the money for something else.  There are tons of cute fabrics out there for your mom to make something.

  • Hoping that Amazon still has what we want, but if not I'll find the fabric that's close and have someone make it.

  • if it's a boy, i will probably go with pottery barn because i can't find anything i like anywhere else.  if it's a girl, i've found stuff i like on overstock, pottery barn, Land of Nod....a lot of places!  girl stuff is so cute!
  • DD is from PBK. This baby it will probably be from PBK or etsy.
  • I think I'll be buying the crib sheets from somewhere like target or bru, just so I can have a lot of them and I want to keep them plain solid colors. I think I'm going to ask my mom to make the crib skirt and some curtains though, so I can pick out the fabrics.

  • Right now I'm leaning towards Pottery Barn Kids.

OMG! Thanks for suggesting Land of Nod! I have never been to their website and now I'm obsessed! I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find anything I really liked at JCP, PBKids, BRU, Target, etc..... Now I have 3 favorites and you can order free swatches!

  • We got DS's bedding from Pottery Barn Kids.  I just wanted something very neutral - as in no characters or animals or such.  His set is just blue and brown and green stripes.  It is a discontinued style though.  If we have a boy it will be reused.  If we have a girl, I've chosen a set from Land of Nod that we will buy :)

  • I'll be making our bedding. I can't justify spending so much money at PBK for something that I don't 100% love and could easily make myself. As soon as I find out the gender I'll be ordering my fabric.
