I was just curious who had babies over 9 pounds ? My DS1 was 9 pounds 8 oz and DS2 was 9 pounds 3 oz. I am only 130 pounds....so I was surprised to have such big boys. Similar experiences ?
DS was 9lb 9oz. I knew from the start that I would probably have a big baby since I was 9lb 13oz when I was born. I honestly thought he would weigh more than he did considering I was nearly 2 weeks overdue when I had him.

Me too!! DS was 9 lbs. 8 oz. and 21 3/4 inches long. I was about 130 and 5'7". I kept telling everyone that he was gonna be big. It seemed like the last month of my pregnancy I really ballooned up. And DH isn't an extremely large guy either--6'1" and about 190. So who knows. Probably all the sweets I ate!!!

DS was 9.6 but he was two weeks late. If he had been on time probably would have been more like 8ish. But, my OB said that there are so many more larger babies these days and there is a theory that it is because of all the hormones in food these days. I drank organic milk and ate organic fruit and some veggies but meat was not and we didn't always get organic veggies. I'm going to try my hardest next time to eliminate as many hormone induced foods because I want my vaginal delivery!
BFP#1 10/26/09 EDD 7/4/10 Beautiful Baby Boy born 2 weeks late 7/16/10
BFP#2 8/23/11 EDD 5/11/12 Natural Miscarriage @ 6 weeks
BFP#3 5/22/12 EDD 2/10/13 Stick Baby!
I was 145 pre-pregnancy, DS was 10 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches. He was born on his due date and no c-section for me! OUCH!
. I had one 10lb 3oz vaginally. Are you, or anyone else in this thread, experiencing prolapse or cystocele? It's so awful! I so wish I'd had a c-section.

I was 125 when we conceived and my last weigh in was 173 (holy s&*%..I know). He weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz and was 22.5 inches. He is still at the top of the charts for height. Weight is starting to level off a little. My husband was a big baby as was his mom...guess it runs in the family. At least I am having another C-section so I don't have to think about pushing a huge baby out! By the way, I tried to deliver vaginally but I only dialated a centimeter after twelve hours...thank GOD!
DS was 8lbs 11oz but he was 1 week EARLY. Doctor decided to do a c-section for a number of reasons but one of them was his size. He has measured big since I found out I was pg. Now he is only 5 1/2 months and he is about 21lbs.
My ds was 9lbs, 3oz but he was born at 36 weeks so he would have been over 10 lbs if I had gone to 40 weeks.
He's now 3 years old and weighs 42 pounds and is 39 inches tall. He's already wearing 5T as a 3 year old.
My dd on the other hand is in the 14th percentile for weight. Go figure!
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
DD was 9lbs 1oz and was two weeks late. My doctor and the nurses could never get a good idea of how big she was and kept saying that she was maybe 7lbs. I'm 5'11" and carried high, so she kept everyone surprised until her grand entrance.

Just home from working and catching up when I saw this; I love seeing other big babies!
I was 123 lbs, 5'7" pre-pregnancy; no GD, got induced a week late and had DS at 10 lbs, 2 oz and 21.75 inches. Vaginally. Ouch!
DH is over 6 feet tall but also thin, and we both were "normal" sized babies so everyone, including my doctors, was taken by surprise - no idea where this gigantic baby came from but DH is optimistic he has a football player on his hands LOL! So far DS continues to hold steady at about 97% for height and weight but he could average out at any time.
I'm late to the party, but DD was 9lbs .6oz and 20.5 inches. I'm comfortable at 130 lbs and 5'6" and went vaginally with two vacuum attempts because I started to fail after pushing for two hours, starting at 7cm. Yeah. Won't be allowing that doctor anywhere near me next time around, team style practice or not!
Re: So did you have a 9 pounder ?
9 pounds 5 ounces, I was 110 pounds before getting pregnant.

That's amazing.
) I also had to have 2 c-sections....I did not dilate fully to a 10 =((((
Thanks for your responses. My almost 9 month old is around 23 pounds now, and my 29 month old is 33 pounds. I miss them as newborns =(
I had an exactly 9 pounder (1 week late), but I am a large girl - so not the same experience :P
I was 9 pounds exactly at birth too (but I was three weeks late!)
