Have any of your delivered at the new Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound or know anything about it? I delivered at Lewisville Medical Center last time and had a great experience, but just found out that my doctor also delivers at Presby Flower Mound (which wasn't open when I had DS). Presby is much closer/convenient to us, which would be nice with DH having to go back and forth to the house to be with DS, but I don't know anything about it. Obviously I will ask my doctor about her opinions at my next appointment, but I was wondering if any of you ladies have delivered there.
I took a tour. L-ville rooms are larger than FM. The chair/couch for your S.O. to sleep on is firm! On the plus side, because FM Presby is not too busy you receive a lot of attention. I talked to a few ppl from my dr's office who have delivered at the FM hospital and they rave about it. I did experience PTL and was admitted to the L&D and had a decent experience-no complaints. I'm going to deliver at this hospital in the Spring.

I toured FM-P and liked it. I've heard not so good things about Lewisville (not necessarily the L&D department, though), so that makes me a little nervous. FM is also super duper close to our house and doesn't seem to terribly busy. I previously delivered at Las Colinas Medical Center and had a really good experience. The next time, I want my doctors appointments and delivery to be closer to home.
I gave birth at Flower Mound Presby a couple of weeks ago and while my situation was unique (my daughter was rushed to the NICU at Dallas Children's because of Meconium Aspiration) - the nurses - both L&D, post partum and the nursery nurses were so good to me. There were 3 other moms on the floor while I was there and everyones was so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend them.
Two doctors at my OBGYN practice deliver there, but unfortunately not mine (she's just at Las Colinas). It's really close to my house too. I hear they had a few kinks that needed to be worked out (the OR flooded this past fall when we had all that crazy weather) but hopefully those were just new-building pains.

I was thinking about delivering there because it?s 5 minutes from my house. I would be a little cautious because I don?t think that they have a NICU. I would prefer that to be onsite incase of any emergency. I?m sure the nurses are great, but I want neonatal specialists available. (That may just be the nurse side of me thinking about worse case scenarios.) It?s a chance I?m not willing to take.
