Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Anyone have the 30 minute nap rear it's ugly head again?

Ugh.  I though we were past this.  For about 2 months these dirty buggers disappeared (except for the occasional afternoon nap).  The last 3 weeks, every.single.nap has been between 25 - 35 minutes.  So now we've regressed back to 3 naps a day because she's ridiculously cranky.

Now not only do we have no schedule, but we have a crabby baby as well.

Did anyone ever figure out how to resolve this?

I'd love ANY kind of advice.  Maybe there is something very basic we're missing?

Thank you!

  • Oh, and she pretty much sleeps through the night from 6:30ish - 6ish.

LO sometimes takes super short naps when his teeth are bothering him.  Is she teething?  If he only naps for like 30 minutes and is clearly in a lot of pain, I'll give him some ibuprofen, and his next nap will usually be a bit longer.  Today, however, we had an hour long nap when it's usually 2.5 hours, and then a 30 minutes nap instead of the usual hour.  I'm hoping it's just an off day.

She could very well be.  I can't tell because she's been drooling incessantly for about 7 weeks and still no teeth.  I'll give that a try before her morning nap tomorrow.  Thanks!

  • DD does this from time to time too. She usually takes great naps but somedays (or 2 or 3) she just doesn't want to nap. I assumed it was teething but honestly who freaking knows Huh?
