I am a big fan of See Kai Run and Pedoodles. He also has a pair of Puma, a couple of gap slipons that were hand me downs and sometimes we get Target because they're cheap but they don't hold up as well.
I haven't bought any from a store recently, or maybe ever. I have a cousin with 3 boys and got tons of stuff from her, and her MIL has a shopping problem so most is barely worn. I got a pair of sketchers "super Z strap" from her. they are awesome, very good quality and they go on/off sooooo easy, I would definitely pay full price for them.

He currently has Robeez and Stride Rite. I used to buy Pedipeds when I bought soft-soled shoes.
I'm quite frugal when it comes to clothing LO, but I don't buy him cheap shoes. I've bought myself some cute, cheap shoes from Target and most of them are not very comfortable. Since he cannot verbalize, I don't chance it. Of course, LO only has two pairs of shoes (other than snowboots and slippers) so what he has he wears ALOT.
We've had several brands from See Kai Run, which he has now and are great to Vans which are also good. We've tried Stride Rite (I like their leather sandals) and we've got Crocs which DS loves because he can put them on himself.
Most days here we can wear sandals so we have more of those types of shoes.

Stride Rite and See Kai Run. DD has a couple pairs from Target - slippers, rain boats, and last year some sandals but the SR and SKR are just so much nicer. For spring I'm getting her two pairs of SKR sandals and then anything dressy, one-off, special ocassion I'll get from Target since she won't be in them too long.

New Balance are awesome!! We also buy Skechers when we aren't looking for tennis shoes. They can be pricey, but I always find GREAT deals on them from Kohls!!!

When dd was younger I always bought Pediped or Robeeze. Now I buy her Stride Rite or See Kai Run.
This. I would prefer to spend money two or three pairs of really good shoes than have a bunch of cheap pairs. Fortunately, my sister is the same way and we get all her dd's shoes when she grows out of them.
In terms of brands, I also really like Merrell, Buster Brown and Clarks for toddlers.
Most of DS's shoes are BoBux and we love them. As we transition to the next size we will probably go with something like a pedi ped or stride rite since he is mostly walking these days. I figure since he's inside now, no need to move on from the soft sole just yet.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
Most of Cal's shoes are hand-me-downs from his cousins, but we recently purchase a couple of pairs of See Kai Runs when we heard there was a 40% off sale, and they are fabulous. So well-made, and a nice fit.

I often go the Target route - especially for dress shoes they don't wear often. However, I found these Nike's and they are SO worth the money. DS was wearing out his Target shoes before he was outgrowing them, I bought these because I had a zappos.com credit and they ended up being $15.00 (regularly $30.00).
They are so easy to get off and on, but sturdy too. I am definitely buying DD a pair for this summer!
See Kai Run or Pediped- I'm a total brand snob when it comes to DD's shoes, but I also think you can't go cheap when dealing with kids shoes.
Our Journey from two to three!
3 IUI's, 2 IVF's, decided to move to foster/adopt.
12/24/2009 Baby C born, 2/1/2010 placed with us,
5/17/2011 Adoption final- we are finally a forever family!
My mom was a huge stickler on quality kids shoes when I was growing up. I have inherited that from her. We buy Pediped, Robeez, Stride Rite, and See Kai Run. I just don't feel right about "cheaper" quality shoes.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
My LO has wide feet, so our options are more limited. I love Pedoodles. I also really like Stride Rite. I just got him a pair of Saucony sneakers that I really like! They were $38 on the Stride Rite site, but I got them for $24 on 6pm.com!

We went and got some new shoes for Hayden from Payless the other day. THey were having a buy one get one 1/2 price sale so 2 pairs for $23 is great IMO. Payless and Stride Rite are owned by the same company so you can get a lot of the same shoes there for cheaper.

I buy all DDs shoes from KMart. Weird, I know, but they are the best quality and affordable, and they have super cute designs.
They are cheaper and hold up better than Target in my experience, and comparable to Stride Rite in their support.
He's in velcro Converse 99% of the time. They're cute and I wear Chucks and have always found them comfortable. Not terribly supportive, but eh.
When he was in coft coled shoes he wore an Australian brand called Sho Shoos (bought secondhand NIB) and a pair of Baby L.A.M.B. (gift).

Geox and Stride Ride.
I liked PediPeds when they were younger, but I think shoes for infants are kind of pointless.
The Geox (you can find them at Nordstrom's) hold up really, really well.
I'm a sucker for shoes because I hate cheap shoes that fall apart and ones that smell (cheap shoes tend to smell after a bit, IMHO.....).
For the summer, I buy Crocs and I love the Keen sandals (you can get those at Nordstrom's too!)
