Not even closes to sleeping through the night anymore :(

we wake up at least 10-20 times at night .. he either cries for no reason, sometimes in his sleep, or he is congested and can't breathe (nothing helps with this) or just awake and does not want to go back to sleep. this is worse than when he was a newborn and the 4 month wakeful.. nothing helps. we are soo tired , help!

when you say nothing helps with the congestion, you mean you have tried a humidifer and suctioning his nose? I'm sorry you are going through this. One thing we have found is that all the little gadgets in his room (humidifier, wipe warmer, monitor, etc) all have bright lights so we have covered those up. Also, we gave our LO sweet potatoes and he woke up a lot from gas. Just suggestions, I hope you find out what is causing him to wake up.

Do you get up right away when he cries for no reason?  My son does this at times and usually I just wait to see if it's a full blown, "I'm awake and not happy cry" or if he's having a bad dream and goes back to sleep.  I'd wait it out a little bit to see if he goes back to sleep.
