Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Feeding baby hummus?

I let me 9 month old son try hummus last night (off my clean finger).  He loved it.  if you feed you baby hummus, how do you do it? With a spoon?  Kinda messy to just throw on tray and let him eat by themselves.

Re: Feeding baby hummus?

  • Hi!!! We haven't tried to give Oliver hummus yet (that's actually a good idea!). How about putting it on toasted wheat bread or pita? Oliver just started eating really little pieces of toast. He likes to shove them in his mouth, so we can only give him 1 or 2 at a time, though.

  • Put it in a pita.  It contains part of the mess.  DS loves the mini ones like this.

  • So, I can actually give him pita and toast now.  I will try tonight.  Thanks!!!

  • We just started toast last week (before that the only finger food he's had were mum mums and puffs). I'm trying to start giving him "real" finger foods.
