Still seeking input on Shark Vac then Steam

My swiffer vac and wetjet just aren't really cutting it anymore. The dog and cat shed like crazy, and now that DS is all over the floors, I want them to be cleaner! Anyone have a Shark, or something like it? I need something I can use frequently, so easy to get out and put away, and I need it to clean multiple types of hard floor surfaces.

  • Can't help you on the vacuum part, cause I'm not even sure what brand the one we have is!

We have the shark steam mop though and we love it - we have wood and tile in parts of the house. It's easy to use and works great.

  • i can't help you with the shark one. we have a hoover steam vac and i love it. it picks up a lot of the fur our vacuum doesn't (which is crazy because we have a dyson) and it gets the carpets really really clean. i love it. we got it at target for around $160 i think? it also cleans our couch, which is nice because riley tends to throw up on it when she's sick :/

  • We have a shark steam mop and its ok. I thought from the infomercial it would be amazing, but who am i kidding nothing ever works as well as it does on the infomercial. We have wood floors throughout my house and it leaves streaks all over the floors. I usually use some sort of floor cleaner along with it to get rid of the streaks which takes away from the fact that you don't have to use chemicals with it. I also think its kinda strange how you have to pump the hadle to get the steam to come out. Its not bad but Im not sure I would shell out the money again knowing now how it actually works.

I have a Bissell Steam cleaner for carpets and furniture and it works great. The Shark is a steam mop and vac for hard floors.

  • I love my vac then steam.  I have it right outisde the door to the kitchen so I can grab it anytime.  We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and the litter box is at the end of the kitchen so we have to use it often.  It does pretty good for everyday use.  I still use lysol floor cleaner once every few weeks just to make myself feel better.  I really like that I can throw the pad in the washing machine.  Mine came with the hand held steamer and I love it!!  I can do the sliding doors much faster since it cuts through all the animal snot that collects right at baby level on the glass doors.  I'm going to give it a try on our glass shower doors this weekend.

OMG! We just ordered, and we are getting the handheld with it too! I am so excited that I can clean the sliding glass door with it! We also have perpetual nose prints! I hope it works great in the shower! It's one of my most hated chores!!!
