I was reading the book we get from our doc saying the milestones your DC should do for each well appt.  At 9 mo it said "Can stand when placed in the standing position,"  So I tried it.  I know she can stand on her own, but I have never put her into a standing position.  I was trying to coax her with a toy and she took a step, then sat down.  I am really, not trying to rush anything.  Her sister was walking around the house at 9 mo, so I know how it is.  Just had to AW a bit.
