This week we are having flounder and zucchini one night, cheese tortellini in red sauce another, then I'm making a big pot of red beans for the rest of the week. We'll have steak and mashed taters tonight for our v-day dinner. I need to get that steak marinating I guess.

no need to feel bad... DH and I are doing this rather than going out/buying each other something (although I'm hoping he'll bring me home some flowers since I rarely ever get them.) We figured spending $25 on a V day meal at home is better than the $50-75 we would probably spend going out.

We haven't celebrated V-day in about 2-3 years--last year I was 13 days from delivering, so didn't feel like going out. We went out for sushi and hibachi tonight, and after DS threw a royal fit screaming, etc, H looked at me and said "Hey, does this count as going out for V-day?" I told him if he thought my v-day outing consisted of handling temper tantrums w/ a 2 year old, he was on crack. Ha! We might go out, but if we do, it won't be tomorrow night--I hate the holiday crowds!
Your dinner looked delish btw--asparagus sounds really good right now!

Tonight-- Chicken Pot Pie...it's almost done and I'm starving!!!!!!!
The rest of the week-- salsa chicken, salmon, and whatever else I decide to whip up.
Went to Whole Foods today and had a grand old time...
Tonight is shepherd's pie (with ground turkey instead of ground beef). Tomorrow night is Theo's marinated steak tips, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw. Tomorrow night's dessert: chocolate covered strawberries. Yummy!
We just went shopping earlier, and here's what we're doing this week:
Grilled Chicken, Au Gratin Potatoes, Green Beans
Steak and Shrimp, Baked Potatoes, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries-that's for tomorrow!
Salsa Chicken
Hamburgers and French Fries
