crazy tax question

So I will of course ask my accountant this, but maybe someone on here knows. DH and I are both teachers, we ended up getting a new laptop. Really a big part of the reason was bc of all the online report cards and other data that we have to enter online. Any idea if I can write this off on my taxes?

    A portion for whatever percentage of time you use it for work.

    I would love to know the answer. I ended up just taking the 250 deduction for educators. re post when you ask your accountant please.

    Yes, our accountant said that we could...it is a portion of what we use it for like the PPs said.

    My dad is my accountant and always takes off my computer. He also puts my cell phone on our taxes because I really do use it for work sometimes, not often but enough that I can write it off :)
