I took DD there yesterday to get sized and to check out some early walkers. I thought their baby shoes for the most part were ugly. Some were OK but I couldn't bring myself to spend $40 on shoes I didn't like. Maybe I'll go when she is walking to check it out again. The location I went to just seemed very limited on styles!

I agree. I am not thrilled with the selection either for the prices they are asking.

what I don't like is that almost every pair of "girl" shoes are completely pink. I bought two pairs yesterday (one plain white and one with pink) and they were the only two options that weren't just 100% pink.

I get irritated with this too! Babies r us I've had decent luck with and the prices are reasonable IMO.

Yes they are ugly! I do have they are so great for little feet though. Stride rite spends so much money and effort researching the way babies feet grow and develop. I would rather sacrifice looks for quality while they are learning to walk.

They do make a great first walking show. you could always get measured in the store and look on ebay or other sites for the shoe you want.

They have great sales/coupons though, IMO!

Some are ugly and some are really cute!  I just bought DD a pair of brown leather mary janes with a little bow the other day....on sale too!  They are great quality though and great for them to walk in.  Hope you can find some other brands that you like better.
