Success after IF

basal temp vs test strips

we are ttc #2 and would like to do it 'on our own'. I'm wondering which method is best.

  • A combination of the two usually is most affective. Temping can tell you when you have already O'd but without doing it several months, you may not see the pattern at first to tell you you are about to O. With OPK's it will tell you when you are about to O, with in a couple of days, to help time sex. Neither are without human (or sometimes hormonal) error. So using both will help you time sex and confirm ovulation.
