Are everyone's kids sick?

It seems like we all have sick kiddos right now.  I hate this time of year! 

Poor Stella had a terrible cold and now it appears to have manifested into the flu.  Hadley has a double ear infection and bronchiolitis.  

I've spent the last couple days cleaning up puke, wiping snotty noses, giving nebulizer treatments and rocking sick babies.  I'm done with this crap!  I want my healthy family back.

Henry's just getting over a respiratory thing (probably RSV, although we didn't test him). I'm praying he stays well for a while now...with baby girl coming.

Mine was doing ok for the past couple weeks, but last night was burning up with a fever. Boo for sick kiddos!

DD has been sick since October. She got tubes 6 weeks ago, so hopefully we're done with ear infections and doctor visits for awhile! She has had a cough/runny nose for the last 2 weeks though. I'm expecting her to be coughing until spring now I hate winter!!

Gabrielle is as healthy as can be.  But I feel for everyone with a sick kiddo.

It seems so.  My pedi said this has been a bad winter.  Lots of sick kids.  Spring needs to get here soon.

Mine keep passing it back and forth and I get it every time too. I just went back to work Thursday (I'm a teacher) so I'm sure this isn't the end of the sickness...uggh.  We are airing out the house every chance we get but it's been too cold lately.

Mine sure is but it *looks* like his cold/cough is finally subsiding. I've used up an entire package of Boogie wipes in the past few days, the Crane humidifier has been on all night this week and thank goodness for the electronic nose aspirator!

Here, too. Apparently DD has pneumonia (fortunately it's bacterial as opposed to viral). She's on an antibiotic, plus albuterol and pulmicort. I was actually just coming on to ask about the pulmicort, looks like she'll be on that the rest of the winter. I think we're going to skip the next couple of playgroups, it really seems like every time we go to one, even if no one is sick, she comes down with something the very next day. I think her little immune system needs a break.

Cal's had a new cold every 3-4 weeks since Fall...but they're really no big deal.  He was at the tail end of the latest one and then yesterday woke up with a runny nose and phlegmy cough, not much of an appetite, somewhat lethargic (for him)...and eventually got a fever (101.5).  The fever went away on its own and he perked up a bit, but was still tired & yawny all day.  Slept great last night, no fever today but still not eating much and not as perky as usual, along with the runny nose & cough.  He's not one to get fevers often...hate it when he does.  So anyway...yeah, he's sick.    Sorry for everyone else!

Yes, I think a lot of us have sick kiddos. Both mine are sick, high fevers, bronchitis, ear infections, and the baby is also doing breathing treatments. I have spent about 200 this week alone on copays, and meds!

Every member of my family (but me) got the stomach bug. The twins were the latest to catch it and it seems like we are turning a corner. It really sucks!

I think (knock on wood) that Jacob is starting to get better.  He was pretty much sick from New Years Eve to about a week ago.  First a cold and ear infection.  Then a persistent cough and cold.  It seems to be getting better.  God, I hope so!

My guys have runny noses and a cough.  This is the first time they've ever been sick!  But they are really good-natured about it and have been doing well.

Maya's never been sick, and hasn't caught anything this season (knock on wood). Sorry to all you dealing with illness. I really feel for you. I hope they get better soon!

Vivian has been sort of snotty and coughy for a while, but never any fever. Doesn't seem to bother her, so we just figure it's allergies since we're the same way. Although last night sucked -- sooooo much mucus and she slept all night with us and none of us got much sleep.

 

Ordering a Nosefrida probably today.

Hope your girls feel better soon! Toodle has pretty much had back to back ear infections (usually double) since Christmas and is on his fourth round of antibiotics of 2011. He's getting tubes this week, hoping that helps. DH and I are sick right now too, good times. Winter sucks!

Kira's had it for 2.5 weeks and Elena for 2 weeks -- just a cold, but dang, it won't go away!  And poor Elena had it straight from 7 to 9 weeks old...poor little baby.  Fortunately both are feeling better this weekend, but Kira is coughing and coughing in bed right now.  And meanwhile I've had it for most of that time too, and DH has been battling it, and I got mastitis last week, and it's just been cruddy all around. But again, it looks to be better in the last couple days overall, especially for Elena about whom I'm most worried, obviously.

My DD had a terrible cold with nasty snotty nose and cough, which seems to be slowly improving.  She is much better this weekend than she was 2 weeks ago!  She still has the cough and runny nose, but not nearly as bad.  DS has been ok - just some mild colds lately, although 3 weeks ago he had the stomach bug that is going around.  I am so ready for spring!!

Reese has been a snot factory since about November. And I just got an email on Friday from daycare that there is a confirmed case of rsv, rotovirus and hand, foot and mouth. I'm so ready for spring!
