Success after IF

need some advice

I haven't been around in a LONG time.. not sure if anyone even remembers me! hope it's ok to post here... I apologize ahead of time if this message is all over the place.. I'm just feeling really emotional and confused

a little background: DH and I got pregnant with the twins after IVF #1.. I was diagnosed by my RE with PCOS. I had a lap, hysteroscopy and chromotubation and my RE found a lot of scar tissue but said I do not have endo. During my c-section, my OB did a biospy because he suspected endo but the results came back inconclusive.

Lately I've been having pretty bad pain in my bladder (been going on for a few months) I did a urine test and it came back fine but I was put on antiobiotics just in case it was an early UTI.

The pain hasn't gone away and even though I am EP, my period came back at 8 weeks PP (lucky me, huh?) the pain in my bladder has intensified so I called my OB and he sent me for a pelvic U/S. I had a cyst on my right ovary that was just rechecked via U/S this week. I am still waiting on the results of the recent U/S. In the meantime, I have my period and the pain has gotten so bad.. I have a pressure in my bladder and tender on my left side and feeling really bloated/uncomfortable. I called my OB who said I have endo.. I reminded him about the biopsy result then he dismissed his statement and said I did not have endo and that he would go to his office to check the result of my U/S. He called me back and said I would need to stop breastfeeding so he could put me on birth control since I have endo.. oh, and also to take a pregnancy test to make sure I wasn't pregnant (I did and even though we are not trying, seeing the words NOT PREGNANT still hurts)

so I'm confused.. my RE says no.. my OB says yes.. then no.. then yes again... what would you do? I wonder if I could go back to my RE for a consult.. but I'm not sure if he would see me since we aren't TTC.. I just want answers.. straight answers....

if you're still reading, thanks for listening... Crying any advice would be appreciated

Re: need some advice

  • I do remember you and you're always welcome here!

I would get a 3rd consult, gather all of your records, have all of your symptoms written down and go see another specialist (RE most likely).

There's no way I'd go with either of these people's opinions. I'd want someone's unbiased opinion. Furthermore, you may have to be on BCP but its possible to be on low dose and still BF. There are options!!!!

  • I'd get a second opinion or at least a better explanation from my OB as to why he said yes then no then yes and what those were based on.

Ditto this, you have to find someone willing to listen/help you. Hope you are feeling better soon. GL sweetie.

  • I would def get a 3rd opinion, is there something else you can take while still BF to calm the ENDO? Feel better soon. And everyone is welcome here!

I also agree with this! It seems like your GUT is telling you there is something else going on. I would find a doctor that will listen to you instead of sort of blowing you off.

  • I ink many re's help to manage endo andpcos

  • I agree get a 3rd opinion. I also would call your RE's office and maybe speak to your nurse and get a feel for what the think. I had an OB tell me once I did not have PCOS because I was my insulin level was borderline on one test but had 4 other doctors tell me I did.
