Detergents (read the FAQ but no help)

I need an easy to find detergent. Something that I can run to the store and pick up if I didn't realize I was out. I have both All with stain fighting powers, and purex classic with stain lifting.... I recently read that stain fighting detergents can cause the stinkies and build-up. So online detergents aside what can I use for my babies bum?=)

  • Before switching to Rock in Green we used Arm And Hammer Essentials Free (make sure not to get the Essentials w/scent) and Planet and only switched because we have hard water...you can get both at the grocery store. Some people use the original Tide and have no issue though I have no experience with it. Look at this website for a reference https://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-chart.html

  • Original powdered Tide.

Or you can make your own by mixing 2 parts washing soda, 2 parts borax, and 1 part oxiclean powder -- I was able to find all at my local chain grocery store.

Same here.  Haven't had any problems with it.

  • Planet, it's sold at most groceries store
  • Plain Tide is probably your best bet, but even that is hard to find at the store. It's not at my local grocery, which only has tide HE with bleach blah blah.
  • Planet.

I've also recently started seeing Ecover in some grocery stores (or at least at the nice one we shop at.)

  • You can also use a couple of squirts of original blue dawn.
