Newbie with a question

Hi!  I'm 8 weeks pregnant (today!) with our first little one.  We've had a ultrasound done and have seen it's little heart beating which was incredible!  We're both really excited and I hope to learn a lot from some of you more experienced moms out there. :-) 

We live in Aurora (more like SE Denver) and our regular doctor (not an OB) is at Sky Ridge Medical Center.  She recommended Ridgegate OBGYN and we were there for an ultrasound but haven't seen a doctor yet - our first appt is on Wednesday.  We really liked our experience last week when we went in but are nervous about a hospital that's so far away.  We are also considering Medical Center of Aurora which is much closer but I haven't found any doctors that I care for that are affiliated with them.  Has anyone had any experience with Sky Ridge or Med Center of Aurora?  If so, what did you think?

I can't answer your question but congratulations on your baby!  I remember the first time I saw my son's heartbeat on that screen; I bawled like a baby.  :-)

 Congratulations on your little one! I haven't been to either of those hospitals but I like in SE Denver as well and I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I've been going to South Metro OBGYN. They are at Swedish Medical Center. I love it there! The doctors there deliver at Swedish and at Sky Ridge so you have the option of choosing either hospital. Swedish is closer to our house so we went with that option. I have taken a birth and baby basics class through the hospital and have got a tour as well. I have been really impressed with my prenatal care and look forward to having my little boy at Swedish. Hope that helps. Good luck in your pregnancy!

I am delivering at Skyridge and I've been sent in a couple of times by my OB for various reasons. So far, I've found the nursing staff really hit or miss, some are awesome, and others are terribly rude and seem like they hate their jobs. At this point, I'm not thrilled to be delivering there.
