CIO then baby gets sick

DD has had a fever for the past few days, so she's been waking up A LOT at night, like every 2 hours or so.  And I've been nursing when she wakes up since she's been very hungry, and it's comforting.  How hard will it be to go back to her only waking up 1-2 times a night that we were at before?

  • You might need to reintroduce a night or two of a modified cry it out method and LO might "remember" quickly that she knows how to get herself off to sleep. I hope so for yours and LO's sake, CIO is hard. We jsut started tonight (with GREAT success!!)

Hope your LO is feeling better soon!

This. While what you are doing is correct (no CIO while sick), once she's better and back to normal, then you go back to normal with sleep training.
