SUCH a long week. Who is drinking with me??

DH was out of town Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday I had to get up early, stay at work late planning for an all day meeting Thursday and go to a work dinner that went way past my bedtime.

Thursday was the all day meeting which meant I was ON all day until another work dinner that went late again.

Today was filled with stupid/stressful office drama between two senior guys in my office that I got stuck in between. And when we picked Will up from daycare, he hadn't taken a nap this afternoon and he basically screamed at us up until we put him to bed! (He just started in a new room this week and I don't think his nap habits got communicated well between the rooms.)

I haven't spent any quality time with my baby since Tuesday.   And this week sucked. 

So who's pouring shots??

Oh YES.  I generally love what I do, and I have some kick-a$$ coworkers.  But this week has been INSANE.  More true crisis interventions than any school should have in a year, let alone a week.

I made shrimp scampi for dinner and have most of the bottle of white wine left so I am having a glass of that right now.

Well I am having 1 glass of wine (and I am willing to share) - only 1 though.. as I have to stay up until 10:00 (the fact that it is staying up until 10:00 officially makes me a loser) AND I have to get up at 2:00am to make sure DD doesn't have a concussion...Sweet...

Normally I'm a wuss and I would drink vodka, but honestly I think I need something stronger. Whisky?

I'd like a drink.  But alas, I am stimming so I cannot have one.

Basically I think my Dad is going to die and I am so fvcking sad and angry about it.  And, I am so overwhelmed.  Work, IVF, and all my Dad's appointments on top of having a husband and a 19 month old have me feel like I am going crazy-- I can't keep anything straight.

I am!  This week seemed to last forever.  The bright side is that they went a week with no fevers.  I just poured a glass of wine and was about to get my Nook when dh said he left it on the dresser where the girls are almost sleeping so I can't get that yet.

Boo! My DH was traveling all week too....I am finishing off the bottle of Rioja I opened last night because now he is taking a final that got canceled because of the blizzard. Being on your own sucks. Here is to a better week next week!
