Baby rolling over....how to put to sleep fully awake?

We always put our baby to sleep fully awake.  It's worked in the past and he falls asleep no problem (within minutes).  Now that he can roll over he always gets frustrated when trying to go to sleep.  He rolls over and then can't get back or his arms get stuck.

I've starting rocking him til he's drowsy then I put him down but he cries and won't fall asleep.

 What else can I do?

my pedi told my to use a postioner so he can't roll over on his tummy and get stuck , i how ever am a very bad mommy he has been sleeping on his tummy for a month but in between me and dh so he has no issue when he lays on his back and rolls over
