Video Monitor Recall

So it looks like they are giving a warning sticker.  Not sure what other options there are to fix it other than nailing the cord to the wall.

How do you ladies keep cords out of the way? We strapped the camera to the corner post of the crib and the cord is outside the crib.  I don't really see how he could get to it.

Re: Video Monitor Recall

  • Um...my crib is centered on a wall, the camera is mounted on the other wall that comes to the closest corner... (that's the best I can describe it) basically its not mounted directly over the crib but off to the side a bit but I can still see the entire crib. I did this on purpose because of the cord...

  • We have a MobiCam monitor and although it sounds janky, I just taped our cord to the wall and moved the crib so it isn't within DS's reach. I wish there wasn't a cord at all!

  • I hate our Summer Infant video monitor.  I got the one with the tv since the screen is bigger and the reception sucks.  It has to sit in one place and cannot be moved half an inch or the picture turns to fuzz.  Not to mention paying over $200 for a monitor with only three channels.  Really?  The Sony one without video has ten channels and is a third of the price and works great.  They should recall them for being POS's.  And I'm sorry but where was the parent of the child who got tangled in the one sitting on a changing table? Either they left their child on there or walked away for an extended period of time while the child was on the floor obviously crawling around.
  • Our monitor is sitting on top of DD's bookshelf, with the cord falling behind the bookshelf, so the only way she could get to the cord would be to move the bookshelf (which we are going to anchor the wall when we baby-proof very soon). The bookshelf is on a different wall than the crib.
