Diaper cover ? and a random ?

I'm using the GMD prefolds and Bummis covers - 

1) When you wash the prefolds do I wash the covers in the same wash cycle?  - I assume air drying them would be best, right?

 

2) Can the covers be used over night or are there better covers to use? I think I read somewhere that they can't stay wet too long or something to that affect.

 

3) I want to start using Hemp inserts (I bought the Thirsties brand) ....is there any prepping/stripping involved?

Yes you can wash all your diapers together. Air-drying will increase the longevity of your diaper covers, but occasional dryer use on low is fine. 

You can definitely use your covers overnight. Some people like to use wool overnight instead of a PUL cover, because they find that there are less leaks. If you don't have any leaking issue, there is no reason not to use your covers.

 To prep any natural fibers (this includes prefolds, hemp inserts, and bamboo inserts), you will need to wash and dry 4-6 times to remove the natural oils. You can also boil these with some Dawn, then wash and dry. These all will become more absorbent with use and washing.
