I only have my right tube and ovary. I got pg with my DD after one month trying. These babies are IVF, so no tube involved, but my one tube was good enough for DD.
I had an ectopic and my right tube removed my very first pgcy.
I got pg the second cycle after surgery with DS, and the first cycle to ovulate on my left side, (clomid + TI).
I got pg again my second PP cycle while still BFing DS when he was just short of a year (miscarried, but I'm adding these in because I still did get pg with just the one tube).
Then I went back to the RE and was unsuccessful on Clomid (tried 4 cycles and 1 inj), ovulated on the correct side maybe 2-3 times. I think my body was different and now ovulating on its own, so a mistake to go straight to what worked last time, but hindsight is 20/20. My RE is almost 2 hrs away and IVF is covered on my ins so we went to IVF after that and I got pg with DD.
Got pg again while BFing on my first PP cycle after DD. Miscarried (cp).
After that I didn't go back to the RE but I did go to CD 12 u/s at my OB's just to see what side I was ovulating on, and I'm so glad I did. After my miscarriage I had *3* cycles on the wrong side in a row and then when I finally ovulated on the correct side I got pg with my current pgcy. I wasn't on Clomid or anything, but I didn't need it because I had pretty much "perfect" cycles. I ovulated on CD 14 and got AF CD 28. The cycle I got pg I did have to OB give me an hCG shot because I went in for my u/s and my follie was huge, ready to go (I think 26) and the next day I didn't get a + OPK, which was unusual. Because I had been waiting 3 months to ovulate on that side I went in the next morning for the shot. I probably would have gotten pg without it, but who knows.
My 3rd ectopic was DD#1s twin. While i was prego with Gracie they removed the right ectopic, tube and ovary. It took 2 years and clomid to have her. Then, when she was 6mos old - i was still bfing - i got prego with DD#2...with only my left side(with no meds-happy accident ). It can definitely happen!
Re: Share your 1 tube success stories if you have them?
I have both tubes, but one is completely blocked. I had DD with IVF and now am pregnant with #2 without any medical assistance.
Good luck!
