Success after IF

How long did your LO use a highchair?

I'm trying to think of all the things I might need 2 of.  DS started using a highchair around 5.5 months.  So, if DD starts at or around the same time, DS would be. . . (math is not my forte!). . . 18.5 months.

What's happening then?  Still in a highchair?  Booster seat?  Something with which I'm not even familiar at this point in the game?!

Re: How long did your LO use a highchair?

  • I kept DD in a highchair until a few months over 2 yrs.  She could've switched to booster earlier but it was just easier for me to use the highchair.

  • We switched to a booster about a month ago.

  • You can keep them in forever and just scoot them yp to the table. Charlie still sometimes sits in the highchair if it's messy.

  • The twins turned 2 in November and I still have them highchairs! I hope to keep them in them until the summer!

  • I plan on switching to our travel booster once Hadley and Stella are eating at the same time.  For now, Stella eats her dinner in the high chair first and once she's done I feed Hadley.  I imagine we'll be making the switch to the booster in a month or so.

  • We still use a high chair for DD, and she's 17.5 months old. When we are visiting family back home (which is pretty often) she uses a booster with a tray and does fine. So we could probably switch her at home, but we just haven't. I would wait and see if you need one when the time comes.

  • save your money and just buy a decent booster seat. it's actually very nice to have ginny sitting at the table when we have meals together.

  • We probably switched DDs over to these boosters about 18ish months.  I'd just get something like that.  Heck, if I had to do it over again I would have skipped the high chairs and just get these boosters!
