Hi everyone! First, I would like to say congratulations on you beating IF and getting pregnant!
I hope and pray to be joining your board soon! My hubby and I have been TTC since May 2009. I have done 3 cycles of Clomid/Trigger/IUI , and we are now moving on to Gonal-F next cycle, if this natural cycle doesn?t work out. I am really nervous about doing the injectables, especially since I hate needles and a wimp when it comes to pain. I was just wondering how many of you have had success with Gonal-F/Trigger/IUI or just injectables in general. Thank you in advance! J
Re: Lurker looking for injectables success stories! :)
I am pg with #2 on a Femara + Bravelle + Trigger + TI cycle. I have zero problems with needles and had no issues giving myself the shots. After the first two days on the Bravelle, I found my "sweet spot" and couldn't even feel the shots anymore.
Good luck!!
Both of my pregnancies are from Gonal F/trigger/IUI.
With DS1 the first time we made it to IUI I got pregnant. (I had a couple of cancelled cycles due to overstimming before we finally made it to IUI).
With DS2 it took two cycles to get pregnant.
I was so scared of the needles and everything at first. You just have to not think about what you are doing and go for it. Every day it will get a little easier.
Good luck!
DS1 is the result of our first IUI with Injects cycle. We also used Gonal-F (loved it! had no side effects!). I triggered with one follie and now he is 3.5 years old
GL!
Before IF I had a serious needle phobia. Now, not so much. I was afraid of doing the shots when the RE said we were doing Follistim and Ovidrel, but it was actually very easy. I got pregnant on our first cycle doing IUI.
Good luck!
I remember the first time I injected myself with follistim (very similar to gonal-f.) I cried, had a panic attack, yelled at my husband and made him leave the room, cried some more -- then finally did the injection.
I think I laughed at that point - it was SO anti-climactic. You can honestly barely feel it - the needles are SO tiny and thin. You'll do fine!!!
And the result of my 3rd IUI with injectables is in my siggy!
