DS is on stage 2 foods. What else should I try? I feel he is missing out. He won't eat puffs or yogurt melts unless I feed them to him.
That's okay. DD just started to grasp the concept of self-feeding. I still have to feed her 75% of the time, but practice makes perfect, right? He will catch on.
I put them on his high chair tray everyday and I also give him a sippy cup with some water and he "plays" with that. So I'm just waiting until he catches on LOL

Yeah we still hand feed too. I do a lot of different things like cheese, avocado, pear, toast w/ cheese, mashed up noodles, beans, cooked carrots, and very small pieces of chicken or turkey. We kind of experiment with lots of different things. They really love the real food and are seeming to be getting over the whole oatmeal and puree thing.

This. I feed them everything, but they're starting to get it. They grab the sippy, but they can't get it tipped enough. They're also starting to try and grab the puffs. It's mostly swing and miss, but they know what they're supposed to do!
