Re: 8 months 3 days...4 steps on his own!
That's really cool!!
I'm expecting something similar here - at 6.5 months, my son is already pulling up to stand on his own, walking (slowly) with furniture... I also walked early, around 9 months, but my husband didn't walk until after 1 year, so I wasn't quite prepared for all of this!
As for the spine development thing, I've never heard of that before. At our 6 month pedi visit, I voiced some concerns about my son doing things too early (as in, perhaps his joints and bones weren't ready for this) and my pedi laughed and said, nope - if he's doing it, it means his body can handle it.
I wouldn't worry - have fun chasing him!
