Hello fellow twin mom!

I read below that your LOs were too small for the high chairs.  We have the same problem.  Especially since DS1 isn't a great sitter yet. 

My solution has been to stuff their car seat covers behind them:

Good luck.  Hopefully you make it out a few times.  I haven't braved it with just the two of us, but we're working toward it.  You also get a TON of attention.  I dressed like crapola once and wish that I'd thrown on a little lipstick.
