Well, we reduced our date nights, but we still go out to dinner a fair amount. We just tote DS along! We are trying to cut back though for both our bank account and waistline's sake!
We don't eat out a lot for financial reasons mostly. But we don't avoid going out with DD. We have taken her to restaurants since she was only a week or two old--back then she slept in her carrier. Now she sits in the high chair and steals our food or eats her Puffs and plays with a spoon. I can only recall one time when taking her to dinner was hellish--and she was only 6-7 weeks old. Other than that, its been pretty easy (knock on wood).
We go out to eat about once a week and bring DD with us. She has fun looking around at everyone and everything. It would be nice to be able to go out with just DH too. Hoping that will happen soon!
We go out less, usually because by the time we're home from work it's too close to his bedtime to go out. We take him out when we can go on the weekend...he loves restaurants, or anywhere with lots of people.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
We have cut out going out to dinner all together . Mostly because of LO bedtime . We still order in sometimes. An LO goes out to lunch with us on the weekends .

Same here. DS goes to bed by 7 so we don't go out to eat for dinner. We have taken him to brunch though, and it's been pretty easy.

We probably go out once or twice a week. I would say the TYPE of place we go has changed a little. We kind of avoid the little, crowded trendy places now, and favor the family style mexican place or somewhere else thats more kid friendly.
It's getting a little harder too because the dude is past the point of always just sleeping in his carseat and not quite to the point where I trust his sitting abilities enough for a restaurant highchair...so he gets fussy easily. Hopefully in the next couple weeks we'll try out the restaurant highchair.
We don't go very often. Half because it's a lot of work with two, and half because they go to bed at 8 and we eat afterwards. We have been trying to go out more just so they have the experience.
This was our first trip:
Then I purchased disposable placemats for our second trip:
Annnnd I forgot them for our third trip:

Like PP the only reason we go out a little less is we need to save the money. I stopped working to stay home with DS, so a lot has changed financially. We still go out maybe once a week (compared to nearly everynight before) He loves going anywhere there's lots of people to look at.

This is similar to our situation. We try not to take him out and get his bedtime messed up two nights in a row. We tried the restaurant highchair and it was fine until he suddenly piched forward and whacked his head. Sigh. So we will keep rotating him between our laps and the carseat.
We don't go out a lot in general, instead we order in! But if we want to go out, we'll take him and make sure we have everything he'll need with us. My oldest son loves to go out to eat, so we'll try to do that once a month for him.

Oh we hardly ever go out for dinner. It's one of the things I miss the most. We have two babies so that's one issue logistically. Also they're right now too big for the infant seat and too small for the high chairs at restuarants. Finally basically night time is melt down hour. The time from 5pm to 7pm when they have their bottles is their worst time and dinner just wouldn't be good. I'm hoping soon that changes but am not too optimistic! We tried dinner on Christmas Eve and it was not a good scene! I wish we could do it though!
We never go out anymore, mostly because I don't know of any child friendly places that I like to eat at. We went out for brunch a couple of weeks ago, we ending up having to rush and stuff our faces, not too pleasant, and felt like a waste of money.
We take DS out with us at least a couple times a week. Both for dinner/lunch. He's always been really well behaved, even in very nice places. The only tough part now is that he insists on eating whenever/whatever we are eating. So he doesn't just sit nicely in his carseat/on our laps anymore. He sits in a high chair and gets bits of what we are eating.
BUT, having said that, I did find a sitter that was recommended through my mom group yesterday. We are sooooo excited to go out witout DS, although I feel guilty saying so. It'll just be nice to get out and have adult time. I'm most looking forward to dinners out with friends who have been awesomly patient with us bringing DS along in the past.
Re: Do you go out with LO for dinners and out or did you significantly reduced going out?
We eat out less now, but mostly for $ reasons.
When we do go we bring her and she's usually very good.
