Target debit card

Those of you that have it, how complicated was the process?

I just signed up when I was checking out last time I went to Target. It took maybe 5 minutes. You can't sign up online unfortunately.

Yes. My understanding the Debit will debit directly from your checking account and you'll still get the 5% off every purchase.  Also, the debit is only good at Target, whereas the credit card is like any other Visa - good anywhere Visa is accepted.  

The cashier told me that I just need to go to customer service and take them a check (? or maybe the debit card) and they can get it started right then.

Easy...just printed off application from website, filled it out, and mailed it with a voided check.  Received my card about 7-10 days later.

I did it exactly like mbs427 did about couple months back. We want to be debt free, so no credit cards for us. That is why I signed up for the debit card since the money comes out of out checking account, no bills to worry about and I still get the 5% discount each and every time....along with my target and manufacturer coupon stacking. LOVE target!!
